Famous People

Test your knowledge in English! How many world-famous historical figures can you recognize?

This app features 476 of the most iconic individuals from global history: monarchs and leaders, politicians and musicians, actors and film directors. Can you identify the portraits shown and earn all the stars across every level?

The journey spans from Alexander the Great to Benjamin Franklin; from Joan of Arc to Fred Astaire; from Louis Armstrong to Winston Churchill.

This quiz is a unique blend of History and Art. Questions are organized into two primary difficulty Levels.

Level 1 - 123 widely known personalities (Julius Caesar, Alfred Hitchcock, and others).

Level 2 - 122 more challenging figures like Blaise Pascal and Igor Sikorsky, including key philosophers, inventors, and rulers.

Additionally, explore four specialized 'professional' levels:

1) Writers (William Shakespeare and Leo Tolstoy);

2) Composers (Johann Sebastian Bach and Leonard Bernstein);

3) Painters (Michelangelo and Georgia O'Keeffe) and a Paintings quiz: Identify the artist (e.g., for "Mona Lisa", answer "Leonardo da Vinci").

4) Scientists (Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin).

Within each level, choose from several engaging game modes:

* Spelling quizzes (with easy and hard difficulty).

* Multiple-choice questions (featuring 4 or 6 answer options). Remember, you only have 3 lives.

* Time game (answer as many as you can in 1 minute) – score over 25 correct answers to earn a star.

Two learning resources let you explore all celebrities at your own pace:

* Flashcards: Browse brief biographies for each person with a link to their full encyclopedia entry.

* Comprehensive tables for every level.

The application is fully translated into 24 languages, including English, French, Spanish, and German.

Advertisements can be removed via a simple in-app purchase.
