A Blast from the Past: Remembering Pokémon Gold & Silver

Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver captivated players worldwide with their groundbreaking features. The games, praised for their innovation, introduced the world to the concept of an in-game clock affecting Pokémon appearances and events. This revolutionary addition, along with 100 brand-new Gen 2 Pokémon (including Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, Lugia, and many more), cemented their place in Pokémon history. The games were later remade for the Nintendo DS in 2009 as Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
