"Among Us 3D Release Date Announced, Distinct from VR Version"

Get ready, gamers! The highly anticipated release date for Among Us 3D has been officially announced, and it's set to launch on May 6, 2025. Developed by Schell Games and published by Innersloth, this new title promises to deliver an exciting and immersive experience to fans of the popular franchise. Originally named Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a wider range of play with its cross-play multiplayer feature. Just this week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which never expires and offers players more flexibility in their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D brings a host of new features to the table, including a permanent Tag Mode with the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, fresh and returning mini-games, and a variety of new cosmetics. It's worth noting that Among Us 3D is a distinct entity from the 2022 release of Among Us VR. Cross-play between the two games won't be possible, as clarified by Schell Games' FAQs. The developers stated, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."
