In a post on X (Twitter) dated March 30, ARC Raiders provided additional insights into an object dubbed the "Assessor." Described as hovering above the treeline, it appears non-aggressive and is well-protected. This announcement precedes the game’s Flashpoint update launching on March 31, which introduces a new ARC threat along with fresh gameplay mechanics.

The Assessor seems stationary and is noted to be larger than standard probes, indicating it exceeds the size of typical ARC devices found during raids. While its specific function remains unconfirmed, its name and description—highlighting "no clear signs of aggression"—hint at a role focused on observation or evaluation.

The same entity features in a 27-second Flashpoint teaser released on March 28. In the clip, shop NPC Celeste, a key figure from the underground settlement Speranza, is seen observing the object and wondering about its identity.

Player reactions to the X post have been mixed. Some speculate the object might hold loot or rewards, while others urge for more substantial content updates, such as new maps, modes, and overall improvements, reflecting ongoing frustration with the current game offerings.

Flashpoint Update Details

Launching on March 31, the Flashpoint update brings a new ARC threat or enemy type. It also introduces map conditions that alter visibility and navigation during raids, alongside a player-driven project offering fresh objectives and rewards across runs.

Additionally, Scrappy, the in-game companion assisting with material collection, will receive changes. Following this is Riven Tides in April, which promises a new map, a larger ARC enemy, and an expanded Expedition window as part of the game’s continuous content strategy.
