Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to enhance its round-based survival mode with a fifth new map. A sneak peek was recently shared on the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X (Twitter). The post, dated March 12, 2025, showcases the front of a grand mansion showing signs of battle damage, including flaming army car wreckage, ominous black smoke, and internal fires.
The accompanying caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" with a "#Zombies" hashtag, teases the return of the iconic character Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, who played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War. As Black Ops 6 is a remake of this title, fans can expect to see Eddie back in action.
Eagle-eyed fans have identified this map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, aligning with the teaser image's timeline. This setting continues the narrative from the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb.

A notable feature of this new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies, as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. In response to a user's comment about anticipating "the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers firmly stated, "Nope." Known for their high HP and powerful attacks, the exclusion of Amalgams suggests a potentially smoother gameplay experience in the Mansion.
