Unlocking Artian Weapon Crafting

First, you'll need to complete the main story, reach High Rank, and then defeat your first Tempered monster. The game will make it clear which monster this is; the NPCs will heavily emphasize its ferocity and scars.

After defeating this beast, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial. She'll explain the crafting process: each weapon type requires three components, and you need at least one of each to craft a weapon. But it's more nuanced than that.

Components have rarity, element type, and an Artian bonus (attack or affinity boost). Only components of the same rarity can be combined. The weapon's elemental effect is determined by the most prevalent element among your components. For example, two water and one lightning component create a water weapon. Three identical elements create a stronger infusion; three different elements result in no elemental effect. The choice between attack and affinity boosts depends on your preferred playstyle.

Obtaining Artian Materials
