Idris Elba, star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, envisions a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film alongside Keanu Reeves. This exciting prospect was revealed in a recent interview.
A Night City Reunion?
Elba expressed his belief that a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, featuring himself and Reeves, would be incredible. Speaking with ScreenRant, he stated that the pairing of their characters would be "Whoa." This isn't their first collaboration; both actors are featured in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Reeves portrayed the iconic Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, while Elba played Solomon Reed in the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Live-Action in the Works?
Elba's hopes aren't entirely unfounded. Variety reported in October 2023 that a Cyberpunk 2077 live-action project is underway, with CD Projekt Red partnering with Anonymous Content. While details remain scarce, the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and The Witcher live-action series suggests a Cyberpunk adaptation is highly plausible.
