Darkside Detective Duology Unveiled: Point-and-Click Mystery Adventure Unleashed

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing several titles. Following their recent deck-builder, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Exploring the Darkside Detective Universe

The game opens on a gloomy, fog-shrouded night in Twin Lakes, a city where the strange, supernatural, and absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, the endearingly clumsy Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, a perpetually underfunded branch of the Twin Lakes Police Department. You'll solve nine engaging cases, delving into the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures present a diverse range of challenges, from time-travel puzzles and monstrous tentacles to uncovering carnival secrets and battling mafia zombies. See the trailer below for a glimpse!

Worth a Play?

The game is a delightful homage to pop culture, referencing classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are intriguing: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's masterful blend of humor is a standout feature, permeating every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. A Fumble in the Dark can be played independently of its predecessor, also available on Google Play.
