Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Critical Role has postponed this week's episode of Campaign 3. The impact on the cast, crew, and community has necessitated this delay. While a return on January 16th is hoped for, further postponements remain a possibility.
Campaign 3 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with the recent episode ending on a significant cliffhanger. The exact number of remaining episodes is currently unknown, but the end of the campaign is imminent, potentially followed by a new campaign utilizing the Daggerheart TTRPG system.
The January 9th stream was canceled due to the emergency situation. Several cast and crew members were directly affected by the fires. Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray were forced to evacuate, while Dani Carr narrowly avoided harm. Sadly, producer Kyle Shire lost his home and belongings. The remaining cast members have shared updates confirming their safety.
Although Critical Role aims to resume streaming on January 16th, further delays are understandable given the ongoing situation. Fans are encouraged to be patient and support those affected by the fires.
In line with their commitment to community, the Critical Role Foundation is contributing $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. This reflects the shared sentiment of both the cast and the Critical Role community, embodying the show's motto: "Don't forget to love each other."
