Delta Force Devs Unveil Black Hawk Down Campaign Creation

By ElijahMar 25,2025

The free-to-play first-person shooter Delta Force has recently introduced an exhilarating co-op campaign mode named Black Hawk Down, drawing inspiration from the iconic film and reimagining the campaign from the 2003 classic, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. Completely rebuilt using the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5, this new campaign plunges players into the intense atmosphere of Mogadishu, offering a level of immersion that was unattainable in the original game released 22 years ago. Designed to be challenging, this campaign is not for the faint-hearted.

While it is technically possible to complete the campaign solo, players should brace for a formidable challenge — enemy numbers and difficulty remain unchanged regardless of whether you're playing alone or with others. The developers strongly suggest assembling a squad of four, with a diverse mix of character classes, to leverage teamwork in overcoming the trials spread across the campaign's seven chapters.

For those eager to delve deeper into the campaign's intricacies, you can find more details in [ttpp]. In celebration of this launch, we had the opportunity to sit down with studio head Leo Yao and game director Shadow Guo. They shared insights on the decision to reboot this classic campaign, the rationale behind offering it for free, and much more.
