What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered

After finishing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the game's expansive world remains open for you to explore. You can dive into a plethora of side content, fully immersing yourself in the rich tapestry of Feudal Japan. The completion of the main quest does not restrict access to any of this additional content, allowing you to continue your adventure at your own pace.

Moreover, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will receive new weekly challenges through the Animus post-launch, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's always something new to engage with.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained

Rolling credits doesn't necessarily mark the end of your journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board, alongside the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue.

To unlock the epilogue and experience the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko. This will lead you to the complete ending of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and unlock the associated achievements.

Additionally, exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke becomes available near the game's end. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s playstyle, and their designs are a nod to long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.

As for endgame content, players can continue to level up and progress well beyond the credits, reaching the game’s maximum level cap.

What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game's future looks bright with planned updates. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store is expected to feature new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji for over 10 hours of additional content.
