Dune: Awakening Nears 100K Players on Steam Before Launch

Dune: Awakening hasn't officially launched yet, but it has already achieved a peak concurrent player record on Steam with nearly 100,000 players.

Steam's official data shows that Dune: Awakening reached 93,634 concurrent players on June 5, despite the game only being available to "head start" players who purchased either the $69.99 Deluxe Edition or the $89.99 Ultimate Edition. The full public release is scheduled for June 10, 2025.

While concurrent player count isn't the only metric for measuring a game's success, it provides a solid indication of initial interest—though it doesn't include players on other platforms. It's worth noting that Dune: Awakening is not yet available on consoles; the PS5 and Xbox Series versions will launch at a later date.

Historically, weekends tend to attract the largest number of players, so Dune: Awakening could reach an even higher peak before its official June 10 launch. Among the thousands of titles available on Steam, it currently ranks 195th in the all-time peak concurrent player chart—impressive for a game that hasn't fully released.
