EOS Arrives at Battle Crush: Early Access Success Leads to Major Expansion

NCSoft announces the end of service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush, much sooner than anticipated. The game, which launched in early access in June 2024 and held a global test in August 2023, will cease operations on November 29th, 2024. This is surprising given the game hadn't even reached its fully polished release.

Battle Crush Shutdown Details:

  • EOS Date: November 29th, 2024.
  • In-app purchases refund: Refunds are available for purchases made between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024. Android and Steam players can request refunds from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025.
  • Game Access Cut-off: November 28th, 2024. Download any desired content before this date.
  • Official Website Closure: May 30th, 2025.
  • Social Media and Discord Shutdown: January 31st, 2025.

Was the Early Closure Expected?

While unexpected for many, Battle Crush's closure isn't entirely shocking. The game faced criticism for somewhat clunky controls and pacing issues. While enjoyable, it lacked the polish and refinement needed to thrive in the competitive MOBA market.

Players who invested time in Battle Crush will undoubtedly be disappointed. However, the game is still available on the Google Play Store for a final playthrough before the servers go offline.
