Fortnite Kinetic Blade Guide: Location and Usage
The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters)! While the new Typhoon Blade also offers katana combat, this guide helps you decide which suits your style. We'll cover how to find the Kinetic Blade and master its unique mechanics.
Finding the Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade appears as floor loot in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can also be found within standard and Rare chests. However, its current drop rate is relatively low, and the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands further reduces its availability.
Mastering Kinetic Blade Combat
The Kinetic Blade excels in swift, surprise attacks. Unlike the Typhoon Blade's sprint-based speed boost, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack. This lunge delivers 60 damage on impact and can be chained up to three times before needing a recharge.
Alternatively, employ the Knockback Slash. This attack inflicts 35 damage and sends opponents reeling. A well-timed Knockback Slash can even lead to fall damage and potential eliminations. Choose your attack wisely based on your opponent's position and your tactical goals.
