Fallout 76 Season 20 Out Now
Unleash the Ghoul Within
The latest update for Fallout 76 allows players to roam Appalachia as a Ghoul. Announced on Bethesda's website on March 18, Season 20 titled "The Ghoul Within" is now live, introducing a variety of ghoul-related features, mechanics, and new cosmetics for customizing your C.A.M.P.
In this update, players can undergo Ghoulification by completing the "Leap of Faith" questline. This quest leads players to a new area in the Savage Divide where they'll encounter unique characters aiding in their transformation. As a Ghoul, players gain access to exclusive abilities like Glow and Feral, along with 30 new Ghoul-specific Perks.
The Feral ability replaces traditional hunger and thirst stats, offering different boosts based on the Feral meter's level. However, if the meter drops to 0%, gameplay changes dramatically: "At 0%: you gain +150% Melee Damage, and lose -5 Endurance, -99 Charisma, -30 Max HP, -20 Max AP, -300% Hip-fire Gun Accuracy & V.A.T.S. Accuracy."
The Glow ability lets players consume radiation, granting immunity to diseases and mutations, and causing them to emit a glow. It also boosts maximum health, heals damage, and enhances Ghoul-exclusive Perks, or "Gherks" as Bethesda calls them.
Players can choose from 28 perks and two new legendary perks designed for Ghouls. Note that perks related to Hunger, Thirst, and Chem Resistance are unavailable to Ghouls, as they don't benefit from these effects.
A Day In The Life of A Ghoul

Navigating the radiation-filled wasteland becomes easier as a Ghoul, thanks to the new abilities and Gherks. However, certain factions like the Brotherhood of Steel may become hostile, potentially blocking access to some questlines.
To circumvent these restrictions, players can use disguises provided by a new NPC named Jaye, allowing interaction with previously inaccessible content. If the Ghoul lifestyle doesn't suit you, you can revert to human form via the Character Screen, though this is a one-way decision. To become a Ghoul again, players must purchase the Ghoul Retransformation for 1000 Atoms on the Character Screen.
Level 50 Character Boost and Season 20 Patch Notes

New and veteran players can now accelerate their journey with the Level 50 Character Boost, available for 1500 Atoms in the Season 20 update. This boost helps players quickly engage with multiplayer features like Daily Ops, Public Events, and certain story content.
The update also includes various bug fixes, balance adjustments, accessibility improvements, combat tweaks, and weapon damage changes. Bethesda has also announced the upcoming "The Big Bloom" update, set for April 29, as part of their season calendar.
Since its launch in November 2018, Fallout 76 has overcome initial challenges and now boasts a "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam, with 76% of reviews being positive. The game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
