Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them
Path of Exile 2 boasts numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique collectible: Golden Idols. These items, designated as "Quest Items," don't behave like typical quest items. Picking one up won't update your quest log, and unlike most quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline. Instead, these are valuable sellable items. There are five to find.
Locating the Golden Idols in PoE 2
After completing the initial Act 3 tasks and exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment, a portal transports you to Utzaal, the Vaal city in its prime (known as The Drowned City in the present). While the city's splendor is captivating, remember your objective.
Golden Idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the adjacent area, Aggorat. Three are located within Utzaal itself, and two more reside in Aggorat. These aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Selling Your Golden Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and sell them to Oswald, located in the north of the area. He's the only vendor who accepts them.
The payout for each Idol is:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Finding all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable currency, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
