Have you ever downloaded an app and then completely forgotten about it? While I haven't, Google Play Store may have the ideal solution. A forthcoming feature will reportedly allow automatic app launching after installation.
The Details
Android Authority reports Google Play is developing a feature to streamline app installation. This potential addition would automatically open apps upon download completion, eliminating the need to locate the app icon. The app will launch immediately after a successful download.
This feature isn't confirmed; it's based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19. There's no official announcement or release date. However, if released, it will be called "App Auto Open" and will be entirely optional. Users can enable or disable auto-launching as desired.
The process is straightforward. A notification banner will appear at the screen's top for approximately five seconds upon download completion. Your phone's settings will determine whether it also vibrates or produces a sound, ensuring you won't miss it.
This information remains unofficial, so a precise release date is unavailable. We'll update you with any official Google announcements.
