Pokémon GO's Halloween event, Part 1, is almost here! Niantic has revealed the spooky details, and a Part 2 is on the way! Get ready for exciting features and chilling encounters.
The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What Spooky Surprises Await?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly and Hangry Modes mid-battle, altering its Aura Wheel attack (100 power, Attack boost in both modes). The type changes between Electric (Full Belly) and Dark (Hangry).
During the event, encounter Morpeko more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track. Post-event, it'll remain available from Rank 16, but will still be more common in premium battles.
A Spooktacular Pokémon GO Halloween!
Expect special Halloween decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town music playing nightly!
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
A free Timed Research event (October 22nd – November 3rd) focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks for encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
