Where to Get Golden Rations
As of the early access release of Hyper Light Breaker, there are two primary methods to obtain Golden Rations: exploration and cycle resets. During your expeditions, keep an eye out for chest icons on the map. These chests often hold resources for purchasing items or unlocking upgrades, and occasionally, they might contain Golden Rations. You can identify a chest with Golden Rations by the distinctive Golden Ration icon displayed above it.
Areas marked with Prisms, signified by a golden diamond icon on the map, are hotspots where you're more likely to find chests containing Golden Rations.
The second method involves waiting for or forcing a cycle reset. A cycle in Hyper Light Breaker corresponds to each instance of the Overgrowth and resets when your Rez count depletes to zero. Upon exhausting your revives, you can choose to retry the map for resources or opt for a complete cycle reset at the Cursed Outpost. After a cycle reset, your performance is scored, and achieving a high enough rank rewards you with Golden Rations.
What are Golden Rations For?
Golden Rations are pivotal materials in Hyper Light Breaker, essential for players aiming to advance their gameplay. These rations are primarily used at the home base to unlock permanent upgrades for your characters or to access new services from vendors.

Should you die during a run, rest assured that any resources, including Golden Rations, you've collected will remain in your inventory. However, be mindful that the weapons, amps, and perks you've equipped will suffer one pip's worth of damage, which could lead to their permanent destruction.
