Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Geoff Keighley, the event's producer. This news has understandably disappointed many fans.
Silksong's Absence Confirmed
The Hollow Knight community was initially buoyed by Keighley's initial Gamescom ONL lineup announcement, which included a "+ More" section hinting at unannounced games. This fueled speculation that Silksong, which has been largely absent from the news for over a year, might finally receive an update.
However, Keighley later clarified on Twitter (now X) that Silksong would not be featured. He stated definitively, "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL," while reassuring fans that Team Cherry remains dedicated to the game's development.
