Lego has unveiled a thrilling new range of A Minecraft Movie sets ahead of the much-anticipated Jack Black-led live-action film, offering fans a sneak peek at some of the mobs they can expect to encounter on the big screen. According to Games Radar, two sets have been announced so far: the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack. These exciting additions will complement the existing lineup of regular Minecraft sets, featuring iconic figures such as Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's The Garbage Man.
The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring, priced at $49.99 and consisting of 491 pieces, hints at a gladiator-style battle scene in the film. It showcases Momoa's character engaged in combat with a zombie riding a giant chicken. Whether this represents a baby zombie on a regular-sized chicken or a larger-than-life scenario remains to be seen, but the ensemble stands about twice as tall as The Garbage Man. This set also includes Steve, his companion Henry, and a towering zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a viewing stand equipped with weapons.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, priced at $69.99 and comprising 555 pieces, indicates that the Nether's marshmallow-esque villain, the Ghast, will also feature prominently in the movie. This set depicts a large-scale battle scene in a typical overworld village, complete with a village minifigure, two piglins, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem. Both sets are set to be available starting March 1, just a month before A Minecraft Movie premieres in theaters on April 4.

The film, officially unveiled in September, has faced immediate criticism from fans, particularly regarding the contrast between the live-action characters and the animated world generated by green screen technology. In response to this feedback, one fan even took the initiative to recreate the trailer in a fully animated style. Addressing these concerns in an interview with IGN in November, the director and producer acknowledged the fan reaction but confidently stated that they were "ready for everything."
