First up, we have the Cloudspire Coordinator: an uncommon creature that encapsulates the essence of Aetherdrift's red-white color pairing. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, which was first introduced in Magic's 2v2-focused set, Battlebond, back in 2018. The Coordinator's 3 power makes it capable of crewing vehicles on its own, while its activated ability allows it to generate Pilot token creatures to take the wheel, offering strategic versatility for red-white decks during Aetherdrift drafts.

But the real star of the show is the rare enchantment, Count on Luck. This 3-mana card, with its all-red-pip casting cost, is as direct as it gets. At the start of each of your turns, you exile the top card of your library and have the opportunity to play it that turn. This "impulse draw" mechanic provides a consistent flow of extra cards for your mono-red deck, provided you can utilize them immediately. It's a thrilling risk-reward dynamic that could shift the tides of the game.

We also have a special treat for collectors: a look at Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While extended art simply expands the art box by removing the card frame on the sides, First-Place Foils are a brand-new addition exclusive to Aetherdrift. These dazzling golden cards are part of a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box. Not only do all the rares in the set get this treatment, but 10 full-art lands do as well.

Mark your calendars - Aetherdrift is set to launch on February 14, with prereleases starting on February 7. Dive deeper into the set's mechanics and prepare for an unforgettable journey across the multiverse. For more information on what Aetherdrift has in store, click here.
