Mario Kart game $50 in Switch 2 bundle, $80 solo

During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo officially announced the release date for its long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 console: June 5, 2025.

The base Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced at $449.99, while a special bundle including Mario Kart World is available for $499.99.

For those who prefer standalone purchases, Mario Kart World will retail separately at $79.99 - a premium price point for this beloved racing title.

Prior to this announcement, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stood as the only $70 game on the original Switch platform. Notably, the newly revealed Donkey Kong Bananza will also carry this $70 price tag.
