Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide details the competitive rank reset in Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play PvP hero shooter. Learn about the reset mechanics, timing, rank tiers, and season duration.
How the Competitive Rank Reset Works
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, ending a season at Diamond I means starting the next at Gold II. If you finish in Bronze III, you remain at Bronze III.
When the Rank Reset Occurs
The rank reset happens at the conclusion of each season. Season 1's start date (January 10th) indicates the approximate reset timing.
All Ranks in Marvel Rivals

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through tiers is based on accumulating 100 points per tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue earning points for Eternity and One Above All.
Season Duration
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank advancement.
