Official Zombie Mode Trailer Unveiled

Marvel Rivals has released the official trailer for its limited-time Zombies PvE mode. The game’s Twitter and YouTube channels announced on October 21, 2025 that this first PvE experience draws inspiration from the Marvel Zombies TV series and comics.

In this mode, players will join forces as Thor, Magik, Blade, the Punisher, and Jeff the Land Shark to fight off an army of the dead and prevent the Queen of the Dead from seizing Midtown. These heroes have received special ability upgrades that enhance their area-of-effect damage to help them combat waves of zombies.

As shown in the trailer, each hero gains unique enhancements for the mode: Thor remains in a perpetually awakened state, Blade's Moon Blades ricochet around him, the Punisher can deploy turrets, Magik maintains an unlimited darkchild form, and Jeff can dive underwater and charge through zombie crowds.

In addition to fighting regular zombies, players must defeat Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead—a zombified Scarlet Witch. Between enemy waves, players can upgrade and tailor their loadouts to develop their ideal zombie-slaying strategy.

The Marvel Rivals Zombies PvE mode launches for a limited time starting October 23, 2025 UTC, and will run through the end of Season 4.5.

Jeff O'Lantern and Namor's Phantom Tide Costumes

Coinciding with the Zombies PvE mode launch, Marvel Rivals will release two new Halloween costumes: Jeff the Land Shark’s Jeff O'Lantern and Namor’s Phantom Tide outfits. These limited-time skins will be available from October 23 at 7 PM PT until November 20 at 6 PM PT.

Both outfits are part of the Halloween-themed "Voyage to Astonish & Midnight Mayhem" costume collection, which also includes skins for Peni Parker, Namor, Scarlet Witch, Blade, and Spiderman.

While preparing for Halloween events, Marvel Rivals is also gearing up for the IGNITE Grand Finals 2025 from October 27 to November 2. The popular hero shooter will then advance to its fifth season on November 14.
