Minecraft Dragon Ball Z Fighting Game DLC Now Available
1v1, 5v5, and Co-op Game Modes
Minecraft has just stealth-launched a Dragon Ball Z (DBZ) fighting game DLC, featuring 1v1, 5v5, and cooperative gameplay modes. As confirmed on Minecraft's official website on November 4, the DLC is now accessible on PC, consoles, and mobile devices for 1510 Minecoins, roughly equivalent to $8.99.
The collaboration was first previewed during Minecraft Live 2025 in late September, where developer Mojang confirmed the DBZ DLC was "coming soon" without providing a specific launch date. During the event announcement, they also distributed a complimentary Super Saiyan hairstyle, redeemable only until November 4.
The DLC introduces 11 fully playable characters, each equipped with distinct move sets and special abilities. The roster includes Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Frieza, Trunks, Krillin, Android 18, Cell, Android 17, and Majin Buu.
All characters become unlockable after players defeat them in tournaments set across iconic DBZ locations like Planet Namek and the Cell Games Arena. Beyond these battle zones, players can explore the Hyperbolic Time Chamber or interact with Bulma at Capsule Corporation.
Additionally, official DLC screenshots reveal encounters with Great Ape Vegeta, Shenron, and the gathering of all seven Dragon Balls. The official description states: "Join Goku, Vegeta, and their allies and adversaries in an intense adventure that will challenge your skills, enable you to defeat villains, and see if you can surpass nine-thousand."
17 Character Skins and Free Scouter Item
The DBZ experience continues beyond the DLC, allowing players to display their Saiyan pride in their personal Minecraft worlds. The DBZ DLC comes with 17 character skins, encompassing all 11 fighters plus Bulma and additional characters.
Moreover, players can obtain a Scouter Character Creator item at no cost until December 4, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific Time. After this period, the cosmetic item will become available for purchase in the Minecraft marketplace.
