Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several key improvements and bug fixes. This patch tackles various progression-blocking issues and resolves numerous bugs, though it doesn't include performance enhancements.
Despite a record-breaking launch and achieving the title of fastest-selling Capcom game ever (8 million copies in three days!), Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a "Mixed" user review rating on Steam, largely due to reported PC performance problems. The game also boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count in Steam history, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing titles like Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. This is a significant jump from its predecessor, Monster Hunter: World, which peaked at 334,684 concurrent players.
A major title update is planned for early April, introducing a new endgame area and expanding the monster hunting experience.
