MySims and MySims Kingdom are heading to mobile
Specifically, they’re launching on Apple Arcade early next month for all subscribers
These nostalgic spin-offs bring a warmer, story-driven twist to the iconic life sim
Before The Sims 4 took center stage and became the franchise’s main focus, The Sims explored many experimental directions. With the rise of portable gaming in the 2000s, we saw the unexpected success of MySims—a charming series that paved the way for later mobile life sims like Tomodachi.
Why am I bringing this up? This isn’t The Sims News! But here’s the thing: the beloved MySims series is finally making its mobile debut. Starting November 6th, Apple Arcade subscribers can explore both the original MySims and the medieval-themed MySims Kingdom!
Moving away from the open-ended, emergent gameplay of the original, MySims centers on quests and narratives with a stable cast of recurring characters—imagine Animal Crossing with a dash of Sims-style charm.

My my my my, my Sim-ona
It’s a little bittersweet to see MySims labeled as “retro” in the official announcement. Still, I’m sure many of our older readers are quietly accepting it—especially since, until now, we’ve only had a limited mobile version of the original game.
Though MySims was a sharp departure from the core Sims experience, it’s absolutely worth playing. Instead of simulating the slow-burn drama of Sims descending into depression or accidentally setting their pool on fire, MySims offers a gentler, cozier experience.
Keep an eye on Apple Arcade—you’re about to revisit the world of blocky-headed Sims once again!
There’s no shortage of mobile games today that owe their roots to The Sims. Why not explore our list of the best mobile games like Stardew Valley to see where these life sims intersect?
