Japan's General Alarmo Sale Delayed
Supply Can't Keep Up with Demand
Nintendo Japan announced on their website that the general release of the Alarmo, initially planned for February 2025, is postponed indefinitely due to production and inventory challenges. The impact on international stock is currently unknown; a broader public release is still scheduled for March 2025.
In response, Nintendo will offer a pre-order system exclusively to Japanese Nintendo Switch Online subscribers starting mid-December, with shipments beginning early February 2025. The precise pre-order start date will be announced later.
Nintendo's Interactive Alarm Clock
Launched globally in October, the Alarmo is a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring music from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure, with more sounds planned via updates.
Its unexpected popularity led to a halt in online orders and a lottery system for purchasing. The Alarmo quickly sold out in Japanese and New York Nintendo stores.
