May 2025 in Pokémon GO is shaping up to be an exciting month packed with numerous events and special raids. One of the most anticipated highlights is the return of the Lake Trio to Five-Star Raids across various regions, adding to the month's allure.

What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?

Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star Raids from May 1st to May 12th. This Pokémon comes with the special move Nature's Madness and offers a chance to encounter its Shiny form.

Following Tapu Fini, the Lake Trio will make their grand return starting May 12th, varying by region. Trainers in the Asia-Pacific region will encounter Uxie, those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India will face Mesprit, while players in the Americas and Greenland will battle Azelf.

Once the Lake Trio's stint concludes, Tapu Bulu will take the stage in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and a Shiny variant.

For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers a robust schedule. Mega Houndoom will appear from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and wrapping up with Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month starts with the "Growing Up" event from May 2nd to 7th, alongside a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, the "Crown Clash" event will run, overlapping with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend on May 10th and 11th.

On May 11th, a Community Day will take place, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery for now. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will follow from May 14th to 18th, with a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.

The "Final Strike: GO Battle Week" event is scheduled from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic will occur on May 24th. Pokémon GO will conclude the month with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25, 2025.
