Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of the upcoming Max Out season. This exciting new feature brings a wave of in-game events and rewards.
Max Out Season: September 10th - September 15th
The Max Out season runs from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. local time, to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Prepare for a week of oversized Pokémon action!
Dynamax Pokémon Debut!
The season kicks off with 1-star Max Battles featuring Dynamax versions of:
- Bulbasaur
- Charmander
- Squirtle
- Skwovet
- Wooloo
Catch these Dynamax Pokémon (and their evolutions!), with a chance to snag Shiny versions!
Beyond the battles, expect special Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards.
Special Research & Max Particles
A new Seasonal Special Research story arrives September 3rd (10:00 a.m. local time) and runs until December 3rd (9:59 a.m. local time). Complete Max Battle-focused tasks to earn Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more!
Max Particle Pack & Power Spots
A Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available on the Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT. These particles are crucial for Dynamax battles.
Rumors suggest the arrival of Power Spots next month – key locations for Max Battles, Dynamax Pokémon encounters, and Max Particle collection.
Mega Evolution & Gigantamax?
Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted that some Dynamax-capable Pokémon will also Mega Evolve (Eurogamer report). While Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed, Niantic promises further details on Dynamax battles soon. The possibility was teased at this year's Pokémon Worlds.
