Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta are making their debut. This guide details how to obtain and fuse Kyurem.
Kyurem's Alternate Forms Arrive
Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta to the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to capture Kyurem and then fuse it.
Kyurem Fusion:
Fusion requires:
- Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy (learns Freeze Shock)
- White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy (learns Ice Burn)
Fusion Energy is obtained by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reverting Kyurem to its base form is free. Increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom are also in effect.
A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these Pokémon for all players.
Shiny Meloetta Arrives!
The "Melody Pokémon," Shiny Meloetta, makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire, allowing flexible completion.
Iconic Unova Legendaries
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White, the fifth generation featuring the Unova region. Kyurem's alternate forms, with their signature moves, were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This event provides a complete Unova experience!
