PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup: Stage One Concludes, 12 Teams Advance

The first stage of the PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup (EWC), held as part of the larger Gamers8 event in Saudi Arabia, has concluded. The initial field of 24 teams has been narrowed down to 12, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown. A significant portion of the $3 million prize pool remains up for grabs.

For those unfamiliar with the EWC, it's an esports tournament showcasing some of the world's most popular games, bringing them to a wider audience in Saudi Arabia. PUBG Mobile is a key component of this event.

Currently, Alliance leads the pack as the competition moves into its final stage. The remaining 12 teams will enjoy a brief respite before returning for the final stage, scheduled for July 27th and 28th.

Global Impact and Future Prospects

While the long-term impact of the PUBG Mobile World Cup on fan engagement remains to be seen, the event has generated considerable buzz. It's important to note, however, that despite its name, this tournament isn't the largest on the PUBG Mobile esports calendar. With other major events planned for the year, its prominence might be eclipsed.

The 12 teams eliminated from the main competition will have a second chance to compete in the Survival Stage, taking place July 23rd and 24th. Two coveted spots in the final stage are at stake in this intense, two-day event.
