Inferno Dragon Evolution Debuts in Clash Royale After 9-Year Wait

Clash Royale has finally introduced a much-anticipated evolution for the Inferno Dragon. After nearly a decade without an upgrade, this fiery Legendary card receives a powerful new form. To celebrate the reveal, Supercell partnered with Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola for a unique announcement campaign.

A Fiery Negotiation Takes Flight

The nine-year-old Inferno Dragon stars in a hilarious new Clash Royale trailer featuring Ismo Leikola as its unconventional Hollywood agent. The humorous video shows the dragon abandoning its in-game responsibilities to pursue fame in Tinseltown.

Catch the Inferno Dragon's amusing antics and Leikola's agent persona in Supercell's official reveal at their Clash Royale headquarters.

The evolved Inferno Dragon features significant gameplay improvements. While the original resets damage when switching targets, the upgraded version maintains its accumulated damage, delivering more impactful battlefield performance.

New Season Ignites With Dragon Evolution

The "How to Evolve Your Dragon!" season introduces both the Inferno Dragon Evolution and the return of 2v2 League. Players can team up with friends or random partners to climb the competitive ladder.

Milestone Events starting from Arena 7 offer rewards including 3 Lumberjack Evolution Shards, an Epic Book of Cards, and exclusive cosmetic items. Crown Chase events provide additional Battle Banners and Evolution Shards throughout the season.

From June through early July, special limited-time modes will showcase the new Evolution cards:

  • Inferno Dragon Evolution Draft (June 2-9)
  • Inferno Dragon Challenge (June 6-9) with exclusive rewards
  • Evolution Mayhem (June 9-16) featuring up to 4 Evolution Cards per deck
  • Magical Trio (June 16-23)
  • 4 Card Showdown (June 23-30)
  • Evolution Bonanza (June 30-July 7) with up to 8 Evolution Cards per deck

The game is available for download on the Google Play Store. For more gaming updates, check our coverage of Marvel Contest of Champions' latest Fantastic Four: First Steps expansion.
