Retro Gaming Revival: PS1 Classic Returns

Microids is bringing back the beloved 1994 action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure, with a modernized remake titled Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, launching this autumn on all major platforms. This updated version retains the original game's charm while incorporating significant enhancements. Developed by 2.21 and published by Microids (also working on a new Totally Spies game), the remake builds on the legacy of Adeline Software International, the original developer now defunct.

The Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest remake boasts a refreshed look and feel, improved controls, and an updated level design. Key features include a captivating story, redesigned gameplay mechanics, a powerful reimagined weapon for Twinsen, stunning new visuals, and a new soundtrack composed by Philippe Vachey, the original game's composer. He previously collaborated with Frederick Raynal (Infogrames' former lead programmer and creator of the original Little Big Adventure) on the Alone in the Dark series.

Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest Revisits Twinsun

The game takes players back to Twinsun, a planet inhabited by four harmonious species. This peace is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's invention of cloning and teleportation, leading to his tyrannical rule. Players take on the role of Twinsen, embarking on an epic adventure filled with challenging puzzles and formidable enemies to defeat Dr. Funfrock and liberate Twinsun.

The game's history includes a 2011 GOG.com release for PC and Mac, followed by Android and iOS versions. Following announcements in 2021 by co-creator Didier Chanfray (also involved in Time Commando), 2.21's development efforts culminate in this highly anticipated remake. Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) later this year.
