The much-anticipated update for Reverse: 1999, dubbed "Showdown in Chinatown," has finally arrived with the release of version 2.5 part one. This update brings a thrilling new chapter inspired by Hong Kong cinema, introducing both limited and five-star characters to enhance your gaming experience.
In this latest installment, the notorious arcanist criminal Nightpiercer resurfaces in Los Angeles, challenging the Vigiles Bureau to take action. Officer Liang Yue, a new limited character, steps into the fray, assigned to collaborate with the Division of Arcane Affairs in a bid to finally apprehend Nightpiercer. Liang Yue can be obtained through the limited-time "Moonbeam Guardian" Dushuo Limited Banner, and players can also enjoy a free garment for the beloved character, Windsong.
To celebrate the update, players have the opportunity to earn up to 40 free pulls through various rewards and events. Additionally, two new challenges await with special rewards: "When the Alarm Sounds" and the board game-themed "Critter Crash," both available until the 29th. These events offer a range of prizes, including Limited Portraits and a new garment.
The update also introduces the "Old Stories New Perspectives" garment series, featuring traditional Chinese-style dresses for characters such as Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong. Furthermore, a new limited building allows players to collect Red Envelopes through tasks and minigames, which can be exchanged for rewards like 5-star insight coupons, portraits, and growth materials.
