By ChristianMay 22,2025

The Roland-Garros eSeries by Renault is gearing up for an electrifying showdown as it unveils its eight finalists, solidifying its status as a premier eSports event. A staggering 515,000 players from 221 countries battled through 9.5 million matches in Tennis Clash, all vying for a spot in the Final Stage. The anticipation is palpable as we approach the thrilling conclusion set for May 24th at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.

Among the elite finalists is the reigning champion, Alessandro Bianco, who will defend his title against formidable competitors including Hizir Balkanci, the victor of the first Open Qualifier, along with Anyndia Lestari, Omer Feder, Adjua Thembisa Boucher, Eugen Mosdir, Bartu Yildirim, and Samuel Sanin Ortiz. This diverse group of finalists promises a fiercely competitive tournament.

This year's format adds an extra layer of excitement, with the finalists being divided into two teams, each led by a tennis legend. Gilles Simon, former ATP world Number 6 and a finalist from last year, will captain one team, while former Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli will helm the other. The teams will compete in a series of matches, with winners advancing to the Winner Bracket. Meanwhile, eliminated players will get a second chance in the Loser Bracket, where individual competition takes center stage, culminating in the crowning of the Roland-Garros eSeries champion.

The event will be brought to life by Samuel Etienne, a celebrated French personality and Twitch streamer with over 1 million followers, alongside eSports expert Quento and former Tennis Clash number 1, Benny, known as GP365. The tournament will embody the spirit of Roland-Garros, featuring a replica of the iconic Philippe-Chatrier court and custom outfits. Adding to the authenticity, esteemed French umpire Aurélie Tourte will officiate the matches.

A limited audience of 250 spectators will witness the action live at the auditorium, while fans worldwide can tune in via Samuel Etienne's Twitch channel and the Roland-Garros YouTube channel starting at 4pm CEST. The broadcast promises not only to cover every match but also to offer interactive segments with special guests, fostering engaging discussions and celebrating the fusion of tennis and eTennis.
