Torchlight: Infinite's "Sandlord" Season Launches This Month

By GeorgeNov 16,2025

  • Season 8: Sandlord arrives on April 17th
  • New Cloud Oasis introduces economic gameplay mechanics
  • Deep Space receives a comprehensive overhaul

Torchlight: Infinite first hinted at its next chapter several weeks ago, and now the full details have been revealed. The upcoming season, Sandlord, launches on April 17th and appears to be a significant evolution. Featuring floating cities, economic management, and real-world prizes, the eighth season will deliver a wealth of new content to the ARPG.

This season, you're not merely battling monsters in Torchlight: Infinite's eighth installment—you're constructing an empire in the sky. The new Sandlord mechanic unveils the Cloud Oasis, where you will trade resources, assign workers, and manage production lines to develop your own airborne fortress.

Thea makes a return this season with a fresh approach. Her new trait, Blasphemer, exchanges her divine abilities for a curse named Desecration. It begins weakly but scales powerfully, enhancing Erosion damage based on how little blessing power she retains. Builds can further specialize it into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, making it ideal for players who enjoy damage-over-time mechanics and synergistic setups.

Endgame content is also receiving substantial updates. Deep Space has been redesigned with five new stages, expanded maps, and more formidable enemies. A new system called Probes allows you to adjust risk and reward, with each Probe increasing the challenge while offering the potential for better loot, including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.

The update also introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes to be combined into a single item slot for more diverse build possibilities. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Connecting all these elements is the Sands of Fortune anniversary event, running from April 17th to May 1st. Complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and have a chance to win from a prize pool valued at $250,000.
