Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is gearing up for a grand reappearance at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, marking their first participation in the General Exhibit in four years. The official website has confirmed Sony among the 731 exhibitors, occupying multiple booths spread across Halls 1 to 8. While Sony did grace the Tokyo Game Show 2023, their presence was limited to the Demo Play area for indie game showcases. This year, Sony joins major publishers like Capcom and Konami in the main convention area.

Although it's unclear what Sony plans to showcase, they've already unveiled several 2024 game releases during their State of Play presentation in May. Many of these titles will likely be available by the time TGS rolls around. Additionally, Sony has indicated in their recent financial reports that they have "no plans to release any new major existing franchise titles" before April 2025.
