Square Enix's Foamstars: Free-to-Play Launch on October 4th
No More PlayStation Plus Subscription Required
Square Enix has confirmed that Foamstars will transition to a free-to-play model starting October 4th, 2024, at 1:00 a.m. UTC. This means the game, currently priced at $29.99 for PS4 and PS5, will be available for free download and play. Furthermore, a PlayStation Plus subscription will no longer be necessary to access the game.
A "Legacy Gift" for Existing Players
Players who purchased Foamstars prior to the free-to-play transition will receive a special "Legacy Gift" as a thank you. This exclusive in-game bundle includes:
- 12 unique Bubble Beastie skins with varying colors
- 1 exclusive Slide Board design
- 1 unique title: "Legacy"
