Shift Up's Plans for a PC Port --------------------------------------------A PC Version is Under Consideration
During Shift Up's IPO press conference on June 25th, CFO Ahn Jae-woo indicated that a PC version of Stellar Blade is being actively considered as a lucrative way to further capitalize on the IP's success. This decision reflects the growing popularity of PC gaming and the current PS5 market landscape.
CEO Kim Hyung-Tae confirmed this, adding that while a PC version is under review, a release date remains unannounced due to contractual obligations. This aligns with the company's public filings expressing interest in a PC release and a potential sequel.
Kim also emphasized the company's focus on building a strong brand and cultivating a dedicated fanbase, avoiding potentially damaging monetization strategies like excessive microtransactions.
Future Updates and Collaborations
Beyond the PC port, Shift Up has outlined a robust roadmap for Stellar Blade updates and DLC. This includes a highly anticipated Photo Mode (August), new costumes (October), and a major collaboration later in the year.
Regarding the recent collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim stated that the company is exploring further synergistic opportunities between the two IPs.
