Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their acclaimed sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing desire from the community. Alongside this, they are launching the Folkrace DLC, which promises to enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players will be able to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to dominate the tracks, adding a thrilling new dimension to the game.

The multiplayer mode will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback on this new feature. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on hearing from the modding community, as the upcoming updates to the game’s API will enable modders to adapt their creations for multiplayer use. This collaboration underscores the developers' commitment to enhancing the game through community involvement.

The announcement marks a significant milestone for Tuxedo Labs, as multiplayer has been a highly requested feature by fans. At launch, players can access the multiplayer mode through the "Experimental" branch on Steam, while the team will simultaneously release API updates to ensure existing mods are compatible with the multiplayer environment. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become an integral part of Teardown.

Looking to the future, Tuxedo Labs has also teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more details to be revealed later in 2025. This roadmap indicates a bright and expansive future for Teardown, keeping players engaged with fresh content and innovative features.
