Templar Hunt Guide: Locating All Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Spoilers)

These missions lead players through the *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* world to complete the Templar Hunt Objective Board. How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The first clue to finding Kimura Kei comes from a ronin contact located in central Kii. Head to Takahara Village along the Nakahechi Route to find him at an inn marked by green flags near a cherry blossom tree. If needed, use Scouts to pinpoint his exact location. Speak to this Oda Clan-clad ronin, and he will direct you to seek out a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.

Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie resides in northern Kii, specifically within a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. He walks with a group of ronin escorts, but avoid engaging them. Approach Kumabe directly and select the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him closely until he reveals Kimura Kei’s whereabouts.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei’s training grounds are located in the southwest region of Kii, just north of the shoreline between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon arrival, blend in by following other students to reach his location. As soon as Kimura sees Yasuke, he orders his disciples to eliminate him.

You’ll be surrounded by hostile ronin. Defeat them, and more reinforcements will appear along your path toward Kimura Kei. Equip your strongest armor and weapons for this encounter. Along the way, look for explosive barrels—use your bow or teppo to detonate them for massive crowd control damage.

When you finally confront Kimura Kei, a boss fight begins. Stealth assassination isn’t possible here. Equip an armor engraving that allows parrying unblockable attacks, as Kimura uses many throughout the fight.

Phase 1: He wields a standard Katana. Parry his strikes to expose vulnerabilities. Use posture-breaking abilities to wear down his armor quickly.
Phase 2: Kimura switches to a Long Katana and a standard Katana. His unblockable attack frequency increases, so focus on dodging and counterattacking carefully.
Phase 3: Once his health drops below half, the battle moves outdoors. His dual-wielding becomes even more aggressive, delivering high-damage unblockable combos. Maintain distance, dodge frequently, and consider using ranged attacks like your bow or teppo to deal consistent damage safely.

All Rewards for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Defeating Kimura Kei rewards you with 3,000 XP, a generous amount of Mon, and the unique Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet themed after the Templar faction. The armor includes an engraving that reduces incoming impact damage, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage output by 10% for every 10% of missing health.

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once the Shinbakufu have been eliminated, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Hunt Objective Board. She is aiding Portuguese forces in pillaging Tamba. Before confronting her, speak to a spy who holds critical intel.

Where to Find and Talk to the Spy

Head to Southeast Tamba in the Silver Lands to locate the spy. He sits under a small structure near a wooden cart and crates. Interact with him to receive the Silver Queen’s current position.

Where to Meet the Silver Queen

The Silver Queen can be found in Tada, northeast of the Tada Kakurega, conversing with Portuguese soldiers. Approach and engage in dialogue, then follow her to her home for tea. Shortly after drinking, Yasuke awakens drugged inside the Tada Silver Mine.

How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine

Upon regaining consciousness, sprint toward the locked door and break it open. Eliminate any guards who spot you, though sneaking through the mine is the fastest and least combat-intensive escape route. Head southwest and quietly eliminate obstacles before exiting the area.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

To gain information on his true target, Yasuke must help the Silver Queen rescue her brother. After escaping the mine, travel north toward Kameyama Castle. Consider replenishing Ammo and Rations at the Kakurega north of Senneji Temple before entering Kameyama Town.

Activate Pathfinder and infiltrate Kameyama Castle, eliminating enemies along the recommended path. Inside the living quarters, a dying servant provides a key to access the castle’s Tenshu.
