Another week, another rollercoaster ride in the Pokémon single card market as trainers eagerly await the release of Destined Rivals. Thankfully, the Black Bolt and White Flare Pokémon Center preorders managed to dodge a bot takeover this time.
The most dramatic price drop this week was for Greninja ex 214/167, which has plummeted by nearly half since the beginning of the year. We're also seeing significant price reductions across cards from the Obsidian Flames and the elusive 151 expansions. On the flip side, Dragonite V from Evolving Skies is on an upward trajectory, nearly doubling in value since January, a testament to its stunning artwork and perhaps undervalued status.
Charizard V Alt Art continues to impress with its dynamic depiction of a battle against Venusaur, steadily climbing in value. Meanwhile, Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art is skyrocketing, gaining an additional $100 in value since the start of the year. Let's delve into the rest of the week's biggest Pokémon TCG climbers and crashers.
Pokémon Card Crashes
IGN Photo Composite / The Pokémon CompanyAs Sword and Shield era cards start to see a noticeable increase in value, Scarlet and Violet series cards are settling back to more realistic prices.
Alakazam ex SIR from 151 is a stunning card, and it's now 34% cheaper than at the beginning of March. It's the perfect time to add Uri Geller's Grandad to your collection.
Bulbasaur was my first starter Pokémon when I first played Pokémon Blue, so this Bulbasaur IR holds a special place in my heart. This card has seen a massive 52% price drop since mid-March, making it an affordable and beautiful addition to any collection.
In the Obsidian Flames set, Ninetales IR has always been a standout. Now, with a 40% price drop from February, it's available for a reasonable $18.17, so it's the perfect time to grab this gem.

The biggest crasher this month is Greninja ex SIR, which was once poised to be the most expensive card from the Scarlet and Violet era. However, Prismatic Evolutions shifted the market's focus. It's still a top-tier card at $275, but that's a far cry from its $411.62 price tag at the end of February.
Pokémon Card Climbers
IGN Photo Composite / The Pokémon CompanyTurning to this week's climbers, Rayquaza VMAX alt art remains a coveted card from the Sword and Shield era. Already valued at over $500, it's now at $649.99 and shows no signs of slowing down. This card could potentially reach $1,000 in a few years, so it's a wise investment if you can afford it.
Charizard V Alt Art captures the essence of a Pokémon battle against Venusaur with its dynamic angle, setting it apart from the static shots common in many Pokémon cards. It's gained $40 since January and could easily surpass $200 before the year ends.
