Transformers: Reactivate Gameplay Footage Leaks After Game’s Cancellation

Summary

Leaked gameplay footage of the canceled Transformers: Reactivate has reappeared online. Splash Damage, the developer, announced the co-op game in 2022, showcasing a partnership with Hasbro. The game, featuring Generation 1 Autobots and Decepticons uniting against an alien threat ("the Legion"), received minimal public exposure before its cancellation.

Recently resurfaced footage, from a 2020 build, shows Bumblebee navigating a destroyed city, transforming and utilizing various weapons. The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, but with a different antagonist. Despite unfinished elements, the footage demonstrates a polished aesthetic and environmental destruction. A silent cutscene depicts Bumblebee emerging from a portal and contacting an ally, Devin.

Numerous leaks from as early as 2020 predate the game's official announcement and subsequent cancellation. While Transformers: Reactivate remains unplayable, the leaked footage offers a glimpse into the project's potential.
