Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic Assassin's Creed protagonist, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's Character Awards, a celebratory event marking the company's 30th anniversary. The online poll, which ran from November 1st, 2024, allowed fans to vote for their top three favorite characters across Ubisoft's extensive game library.

The results, announced on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter), revealed Ezio as the overwhelming favorite. To honor this achievement, a special webpage featuring Ezio in a unique artistic style has been launched. Fans can also download four free digital wallpapers (for PC and smartphones) showcasing the celebrated assassin. Furthermore, a lottery will award 30 lucky participants with an exclusive Ezio acrylic stand set, while 10 others will receive a coveted 180cm Ezio body pillow.

Beyond Ezio's triumph, the top ten characters were unveiled, highlighting a diverse range of Ubisoft's beloved characters:

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood, Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)
  • 9th: Kassandra (Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
  • 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

In a parallel poll for most popular game franchise, Assassin's Creed also secured first place, outperforming Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division and Far Cry followed in fourth and fifth place respectively.
