Following the conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event, players can participate in the returning Turbulent Timeways event. This event offers a unique reward for accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff. This event bridges the gap between content patches in Dragonflight, providing engaging activities until Patch 11.1's release.
Turbulent Timeways Event Details
Unlike typical Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of active Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th), each week highlighting a different expansion's dungeons:
- Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
- Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
- Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
- Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
- Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
- Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
- Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)
Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants one stack of the "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persists through death), providing a 5% experience bonus. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persists through death), offering a 30% experience bonus. Both buffs refresh with each Timewalking dungeon completion. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways is crucial for obtaining Mastery of Timeways; letting the buff expire requires restarting the process. Avoid extended periods of inactivity (AFK) to prevent buff expiration.
Turbulent Timeways Rewards
Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers several rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, previously awarded during Dragonflight's Turbulent Timeways, is available for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking Vendors.
Additionally, a new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, is obtainable by achieving the Mastery of Timeways buff during five out of the seven event weeks.
