World of Warcraft has introduced the Coward’s Azure Target, an exciting new back transmog available as a Twitch Drop to celebrate the return of the Plunderstorm event. By tuning into any World of Warcraft stream on Twitch from January 14 to February 4 and watching for a total of four hours, players can claim this distinctive back piece and enhance their collection of in-game treasures.

Plunderstorm, a thrilling battle royale mode, was first introduced to World of Warcraft in early 2024. Its comeback, starting January 14 and lasting about a month, brings back the pirate-themed action along with a variety of rewards available through the Plunderstore. Yet, fans don't need to dive into Plunderstorm to secure an extra item. The Coward’s Azure Target, a fresh back transmog, is up for grabs as a Twitch Drop during the first three weeks of the event. From January 14 through February 4, players can watch any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch, regardless of whether they are playing Plunderstorm, to earn this item for free.

How to Get the World of Warcraft Plunderstorm Twitch Drop

  • First, connect your Battle.net and Twitch accounts on the Connections page on Twitch.
  • Starting January 14 at 10 AM PST until February 4 at 10 AM PST, watch any World of Warcraft streamer on Twitch for a total of four hours to earn the Coward’s Azure Target back transmog.
  • Claim the drop from your Twitch inventory page.
  • The Coward’s Azure Target will be automatically added to your Warband transmog Collections pane.

The Coward’s Azure Target is a unique transmog, previously unavailable in the game. It's a recolor of the Coward’s Violet Target, which was offered as a free reward to players who completed their World of Warcraft Trading Post Traveler’s Log in August 2024. Although the original item received mixed reviews, the chance to snag a new variant for free through Twitch Drops is an offer few will refuse.

For those less enthused about this particular Twitch Drop, World of Warcraft has plenty more in store. Alongside the rewards from Plunderstorm, the upcoming Patch 11.1 for World of Warcraft: The War Within introduces customizable campsites for the character select screen—a feature eagerly anticipated by the community. Additionally, there's likely to be another Twitch Drop coinciding with Patch 11.1, so keep an eye out for more free items to enhance your journey to Undermine.
