Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 Update to Launch with New Features and Content

After the version 2.4 release, Wuthering Waves is set to roll out its next major update, version 2.5, titled Unfading Melody of Life, on July 24th across all platforms. This update introduces a new Resonator, a fresh location, expanded story content, gameplay enhancements, and exciting new events.

The version 2.5 update progresses the main narrative with Chapter II Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens, while unveiling a new explorable region, Fabricatorium of the Deep. Players will encounter new Echoes, including Nightmare: Hecate and Galcio Predator, alongside a formidable Phantom: Nightmare Inferno Rider.

Leading the update is Phrolova, a new Resonator introduced in the limited-time banner Requiem Without End, accompanied by a new weapon, Lethean Elegy, available in a special Weapon Convene. The update also features time-limited events such as Phantasma Dreamland, Gifts of Grand Symphony login, and The Border Mountains.

Additionally, the update introduces the Dream of the Lost Sonata Effect, enhancing Crit Rate and Echo Skill damage when Resonance Energy is depleted. For team-building guidance, refer to our Wuthering Waves tier list for optimal selections.

Quality-of-life improvements include enhanced Echo Management, allowing players to auto-lock or auto-discard Echoes based on custom settings, and the Sync Tuning system, which simplifies Echo upgrades with automatic Tuner application. Players can now save up to 10 preset team configurations and customize skill music for select Resonators.

The update also brings Steam Deck compatibility to Wuthering Waves, while its mobile version continues to shine, earning a nomination as a Forever Franchise at the Mobile Games Awards, alongside titles like Candy Crush Saga, Clash Royale, and Subway Surfers.
