Following a reported apology from Microsoft, Jyamma Games has expressed gratitude and is now working to bring their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song, to Xbox.
Xbox Apology Resolves Enotria Release Delays, But Date Remains Uncertain
Jyamma Games Appreciates Phil Spencer and Community Support
Jyamma Games, the developer behind Enotria: The Last Song, received an apology from Microsoft after experiencing significant delays in the Xbox certification process. The delay, lasting over two months, prompted the developer to initially postpone the Xbox release indefinitely. Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco had previously voiced frustration on Discord, stating Microsoft's lack of response and expressing concern about the investment made in the port.
However, following Microsoft's apology, Jyamma Games took to Twitter (X) to express their thanks to Phil Spencer and his team for their swift response and assistance. They also acknowledged the significant support from their player community, emphasizing the impact of their vocal advocacy.
Jyamma Games confirmed that they are now collaborating closely with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox release, although a firm release date remains unconfirmed. Details of Microsoft's apology and the ongoing collaboration were shared on Enotria's Discord server.
This situation highlights recent challenges faced by developers releasing titles on Xbox. Funcom recently reported optimization difficulties porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC releases of Enotria: The Last Song are still planned for September 19th, the Xbox launch remains uncertain.
